  • M-56 Cover, Water Canteen. We currently have several grades available. P Poor condition are extremely rough. Most of these have a tear that is at least half the length of the body. You could try to repair it or use it for a project. It maybe somewhat serviceable, but when I say these are rough and very abused, I mean it! F Fair condition are rough overall. They are heavily used and have some decent size damage. They may have decent size holes or tears but could be repaired and are 100% serviceable to hold a canteen as is. Overall think faded, not good looking, these will have tears / holes / abrasions / repairs / stains etc, BUT they will work as a canteen cover. G Good condition are a little rougher than the VG, but serviceable. Better than the fair condition, they have seen use and fading, but are still reasonably solid. They have some smaller holes / wear damage at the corners, along seams or other high wear area, but no real major body damage. These are solid field grade canteen covers that you could repair or use as is. VG Very Good condition are free from any major defects. They can have some minor frays, abrasions etc. Overall they will have fairly good color and are in overall solid, used condition. A good useable canteen cover with lots of life left in it. EXC Excellent condition are nice covers showing minimal use such as light wear from a canteen cup or minor shelf wear to no use. Nice color, ink stampings, etc. Learn More

  • M-56 Universal Small Arms Ammunition Pouch. The standard ammo carrier for Vietnam, these were initially designed to hold a variety of ammunition. You can carry M1 Garand Enblocs, M1 Carbine Magazines, a box of shotgun shells, 2 M14 Magazines and 3 to 4 M16 Magazines (soldiers often placed a bandage or sock underneath the M16 magazines to raise them to the top of the pouch). We have multiple grades available. Priced per pouch. Fair (F): These are in very rough condition. They can have holes in the body and may be missing the suspender strap and or the side grenade loop straps, BUT they will still hold magazines and will have the main pouch closure intact. Good (G): These are serviceable. They have seen heavy use and fading, and may have repairs or small holes, most have small wear holes in the corners. They are complete with grenade straps and suspender straps. Basically they are like the VG condition, just with more wear and fading. Perfect "Field Grade" beater pouches. Very Good (VG): These are in better condition than the good. Overall they are in VG used condition with typical fading and wear from moderate usage, and may have heavier wear on the corners, but no major damage. Basically they are like the Good condition, just with better color and less wear. They will have the suspender straps and grenade straps and be completely functional. Excellent (EXC): These are in overall excellent used condition with good color showing only light signs of use and or storage wear to unissued condition. Learn More

Belts are in in OD#7 (dark OD vs Khaki) though some are faded to a lighter OD#3 khaki looking color. We have a few belts left in-stock. Most are VG used showing use and fading. We have a couple of 1950 dated belts that are in unissued condition, but they have verdigris on the metal hardware.
