From May 1965 to December 1967, each Division and Separate Brigade stationed in the Republic of Vietnam (RVN) formed a Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP). In December 1967 the Department of the Army authorized a more formal directive for the formation of Long Range Patrol (LRP) units. Then, in February 1969, divisional LRP units were re-designated as Ranger companies with each Division and Separate Brigade receiving a Ranger Company. Each set includes 2 printed tags, 1 long chain (24") and 1 short chain (4"). These are available in the "Notched" style and the "Regular" style. Five lines with up to 16 characters per line.
