This is an extremely nice, unissued pair of original Model 1962 "McNamara boots" in size 10R. These were the standard combat boot worn by all US personnel before the widespread issue of the Tropical Combat Boot (jungle boot). They were named "McNamara" boots as he had pushed to streamline issue gear and uniforms in an effort to cut costs. These boots are October 1966 dated and in perfect condition with stitched on BF Goodrich soles showing signs of wear at all. This style of boot would begin to be replaced by the second model leather boots featuring the direct molded ripple sole in late 1967. This style boot has become very difficult to find and even harder in unissued condition. We only have one pair, so do not miss out!
