This is a live, 40mm, M79 Grenade Launcher. This M79 features a USGI TRW receiver* and all USGI parts. The standard rear ladder site included as well as an experimental Aimpoint Dot site that was rumored to have been fabricated for DELTA / SF use post Vietnam. M79 parts have gotten extremely hard to come by and USGI receivers are very difficult to find now. Launcher is registered as a Destructive Device and is on a Form 4 in Texas.
