9th Infantry Division, Subd. Twill In-country Style
These in-country style twill patches are typical of the early Vietnamese made twill insignia. They are hand sewn and are not precision made on a machine like the US made twill insignia. The patch outline would be drawn in ball point pin on twill fabric usually obtained from a used OG-107 shirt. The patch would then be hand fed under a sewing machine to complete the design. As a result, they can vary slightly in size, shape, color, etc.
