Poncho, USGI, Coated Nylon Twill (Heavy)

Poncho, Coated Nylon Twill. These are the standard, heavy "rubberized" ponchos used from the Korean War through the Vietnam War before the lightweight ripstop ponchos became common in the early to mid 70's. We were lucky to find a small stash of excellent to unissued ponchos (64 to 68 dated). These have gotten much harder to come by; especially in nice condition!

Replacement Poncho

I received my replacement poncho and its like night and day. It was exactly as described like NOS. Marked 1959, I had to hose the talcum powder off the surface. A little brushing with a soft brush helped. I allowed it to dry in the sun on a cool day. Trey was very helpful and apologetic. He mailed the replacement as soon as he received them. MM will certainly have my business in the future.

NOT as described.

I received the poncho after a delay. It arrived and needless to say I am quite disappointed. It is not Excellent + condition. It has a number of small holes on both sides and appears to have been used a drop cloth for someones painting project! Large amount of paint speckles on both sides of the poncho and inside the hood. Moore's products have been top notch in the past but, I cannot recommend this item.
