Reproduction 2nd Pattern OG-107 Sateen Fatigue Shirt. These are the classic OG-107's seen throughout the Vietnam War. Shirt features custom milled 8.5 ounce cotton, correct dished buttons, two chest pockets with straight flaps, offset throat button, spec tags, etc.
The "Type II" was specified for production in April 1963 and had several slight variations from the Type I. The only change of any real significance was the "clipping" of the pocket flaps on the shirt, so that they no longer appeared rectangular and the addition of a button tab near the wrist that allowed the cuff to be drawn tighter. As with the Type I, the shirt and trousers were also sized in groups. Contracts for these were issued in 1963 and 64, though production lasts through 65 as the 3rd pattern did not really move into production until 66 despite being authorized earlier. These are commonly seen mixed in use with 1st pattern shirts and their limited production time compared to the 1st pattern shirts means they did not ever really replace them. They are seen side by side in the early war period of the mid 1960's.
