You may not be able to use these with anything other than an A2 style flash hider. You may also need to use a much thicker crush washer, or eliminate the washer altogether when using this flash hider. (When installing the BFA I just leave the washer off and snug the flash hider down on this aluminum BFA.)
I've shot close to 1k USGI blanks through the .080 version with a standard AR-15 buffer spring and bolt carrier group. As far as I can tell any malfunction was most likely due to the reman blanks that were being fired. The recoil is similar to 5.56 ball type ammo. The sound and muzzle flash are a bit less than live ammo, but still enough to get the job done.
*Note from Moore Militaria - The BFA will work the "standard" flashiders: 3 prong, A1 and A2. Basically you need the internal shelf to hold it against the muzzle. The blank adapters are machined form 1018 steel, a low carbon steel giving good durability. You can typically secure the BFA and flashider well using the standard washer.

I use three of these (USGI versions) with three different AR-15s I keep in reserve as Military Funeral Honors ceremonial rifles. Each look like a different model of military service M16 in order to honor different generations of Soldiers : an M16A1 (AERO custom built) , M16A2 (PSA-15 lower with CMMG A2 carry handle style upper) and M16A4 (stand PSA-15 20 inch with detachable carry handle) . The "A1" likes to use M200A1 blanks , while the other two run the shorter M200 blanks flawlessly.
To the people who mill these BFA pucks : as a proud Honor Guard in service to the USAR 81st Readiness Division's Funeral Honors Guard , Thank You for these quality items
